I have a 50' In a normal girth. What size should I get in a dressage girth? I have never owned a dressage saddle ,but I am going to get one sometime soon.

Wait until you actually get it fitted and then you can assess the length.

As a rule of thumb go 20" shorter. but as @newforest says it's best to wait until you get a saddle as girth strap lengths do vary.

Yes i think you will need to wait until you have the saddle fitted. Hopefully a saddle fitter would have a selection of girths lengths that they have with them when fitting.

I have used a peice of bale string before and tied a knot in to mark the length then measured it for a rough guide.

20” shorter is a guide but it does depend on the saddle and their conformation, my mare had a 46” standard girth and has a 32” dressage one so it’s not always accurate, def best to wait and measure.
